Passageways Acquires Engineered Business Solutions’ Intranet Business
West Lafayette, IN. September 24th, Passageways, a West Lafayette, Ind.-based portal solutions provider for financial institutions, announced the acquisition of Houston-based Engineered Business Solutions’ (EBS) product Instant Intranet Builder (IIB) and the IIB client base.
EBS’s main intranet offering, IIB, enables organizations to create, maintain and manage departments or enterprise intranets. Passageways will now provide EBS’s IIB users with technical assistance and support for the intranet system.
Passageways has acquired 66 new clients with this agreement, including key financial institutions such as Citizens and Farmers Bank, Southern Community Bank, San Diego Metropolitan Credit Union, Utah State University Charter Credit Union and Trumark Financial FCU. The organization also takes control of two EBS domain names, www.engbsolutions.com and www.instantintranets.com, as part of the acquisition. EBS continues to operate its IT services business at www.ebsit.com.

Passageways offers its own corporate portal framework that includes collaborative features and allows decentralized content management. A series of additional modules that provide capabilities such as product and service information sharing and electronic forms building can be added to the Passageways portal software framework.
