Passageways Selected by Four Credit Unions to Provide Corporate Portal System
West Lafayette, IN. October 30th, 2007 – Passageways, a West Lafayette, Ind.-based portal solutions provider for financial institutions, announced that Mazuma Credit Union, Members 1st Federal Credit Union, TruMark Financial Credit Union and FDIC Federal Credit Union selected the Passageways Corporate Portal Framework to streamline internal communications and data management.
In order to customize the portals to fit their specific needs, Mazuma Credit Union and FDIC Federal Credit Union added various modules and Performance Dashboards to the standard portal framework. The dashboards provide the credit unions with displays that track critical sets of information such as ROI, loan to share ratio and asset size to provide warnings and summarize business performance.
Mazuma Credit Union also utilizes Passageways’ Knowledge Management application to enable employees at all locations to search the portal for frequently asked questions. The application also provides the credit union with the ability to embed a search box on its public Web site so members can find information for themselves online.
Members 1st Federal Credit Union, TruMark Financial Credit Union and FDIC Federal Credit Union all selected the Products and Services module to streamline the way employees reach product information to promote cross-selling by frontline personnel.
"We selected Passageways because it offered an established portal foundation with a framework that allows us to incorporate our own in-house applications,” said Anne Nelson, a programmer analyst with Members 1st Federal Credit Union. “Instead of focusing on building and supporting the framework for our portal solution, we can focus on developing applications that are tailored to the needs of our credit union now that Passageways maintains the framework.”
“The Passageways portal and its modules simplify time-consuming business activities such as compiling timesheets and expense reports so credit union employees can spend more time focusing on the needs of their members,” said Christopher Beltran, co-founder and vice president of Passageways.
Passageways’ technology offers a portal framework enables financial institutions to collaboratively organize and manage documents, content, Web sites and other corporate knowledge bases.
