Passageways Selected by ignite to Provide Corporate Portal System
West Lafayette, IN. November 5th, 2007 – Passageways, a West Lafayette, Ind.-based portal solutions provider for financial institutions, announced that ignite, a group that develops, tests, and implements innovative ideas for credit unions, selected the Passageways Corporate Portal Framework to streamline internal communications and data management.
Created by a joint venture between the Indiana Credit Union League and Indiana’s representatives associated with the Filene Research Institute’s i3 group, ignite operates and implements ideas developed by Filene i3 group at the state level.
The Filene Ideas, Innovation and Implementation (i3) work group is made up of credit union professionals other than chief executive officers who hold substantial responsibilities within their organizations. This discussion forum identifies and evaluates credit unions’ innovations, develops strategies to address problems and identifies and evaluates ideas from other industries that can benefit credit unions.
“I used the Passageways portal for my Filene i3 team and we found it very helpful for storing documents, links and announcements to team members,” said Bob Falk, chief operating officer of Purdue Employee Federal Credit Union and a member of ignite and Filene Research Institute’s i3 group. “When the ignite concept was formed, I felt it would be important to have the Passageways portal available for our team members. Passageways is very supportive of the Indiana Credit Union League and offered their Passageways portal solution.”
“ignite provides a forum for new idea exchange, implementation, collaboration and networking for Indiana’s credit union leaders and emerging leaders,” said John McKenzie, president of the Indiana Credit Union League. “The Passageways portal complements the organization’s mission and purpose to promote innovation in credit unions.”
“The capabilities of the Passageways portal provide ignite with internal communication advantages,” said Paroon Chadha, co-founder and vice president of Passageways. “With a decentralized communication center, members of the organization are able to post information as it becomes available, ensuring that everyone has access to timely updates.”
Passageways’ technology offers a portal framework that enables financial institutions to collaboratively organize and manage documents, content, Web sites and other corporate knowledge bases.
