Passageways Fourth Annual Users Conference Packed With Valuable Content
West Lafayette, IN. April 8th, 2008 – Passageways, a West Lafayette, Ind.-based portal solutions provider for financial institutions, will hold its fourth annual Advanced User and Developer Conference May 7-9, 2008 at the W Hotel in Chicago. With over fifty organizations registered, Passageways PowWOW is the largest corporate portal conference in the financial industry. PowWOW is an opportunity for Passageways' customers to discuss trends in the area of intranet and portal development, and to get a firsthand look at a variety of modules and enhanced portal software.
Attendees will gain valuable insight into how other organizations are making use of their corporate portal and learn how to integrate their applications more easily. This year's agenda includes two keynote speakers, Randy Harrington, CEO and Tisha Oehmen, CMO of Extreme Arts & Sciences kicking things off on Thursday morning. There will also be over 10 hours of educational sessions, over 3 hours of Best Practices and multiple guest speakers - including Randy Karnes, CEO of CU Answers, Ken Burnett, Training Director at Bank of American Fork and Thad Hutcheson, Chief Technology Officer at T Bank.
"This year’s conference is particularly important for Passageways," said Christopher Beltran Co-Founder/VP. "The official launch of two brand new products, Passageways Portal Framework 4.0 and the new Search Module, is what I would call the most significant release for Passageways in years. Combined with the participation of our customers, the products provide a solid foundation for easy-to-deploy web applications, broad support for .NET technologies, and new opportunities for extending these products into the Financial Institution enterprise."
Passageways is dedicated to sharing innovations in corporate portals and their implementations through its annual Best Practice Awards. The objective of the program is to foster the development of innovative practices in the Passageways Portal by recognizing best practices through a national award. Applicants are judged on their descriptions of practices currently employed in their Passageways Portal based on criteria like: originality/innovative nature of the feature or practice, significance of the feature or practice to the credit union/bank, and demonstration of improvements in collaboration. Winners of this award from 2007 include:
- • Sandia Laboratory FCU - Best Third Party Tie-in
- • Educators CU - Best Use of the Portal Framework
- • Aloha Pacific CU - Best Landing Page
