Passageways Celebrates Five Years with a “WOW”
West Lafayette, IN. May 15th, 2008 – Passageways, a West Lafayette, Ind.-based portal solutions provider for almost 150 financial institutions, held its fourth annual Advanced User and Developer Conference May 7-9, 2008 at the W Hotel in Chicago. With over fifty organizations, and over one hundred and thirty people in attendance, this was the largest PowWOW to date. The conference has garnered great reviews from attendees with an almost 90% Net Promoter Score. So much valuable information was shared and so much was accomplished in just three short days.
This year's agenda included the launch of “Portal 4,” the newest version of the Passageways Portal Framework. Attendees raved about some of the new features of the product, including document management and an improved search feature. Passageways will be hosting a series of webinars for its customers and prospects that could not attend the conference. Two keynote speakers, Randy Harrington, CEO and Tisha Oehmen, CMO of Extreme Arts & Sciences kicked things off with a bang with an extremely engaging presentation. Guest speakers Randy Karnes, CEO of CU Answers, Ken Burnett, Training Director at Bank of American Fork and Thad Hutcheson, Chief Technology Officer at T Bank gave attendees valuable insight into how other organizations are making use of their corporate portals.

Passageways is dedicated to sharing innovations in corporate portals and their implementations through its annual Best Practice Awards, given at PowWOW. Applicants were judged on their descriptions of practices currently employed in their Portal based on criteria like: originality/innovative nature of the feature or practice, significance of the feature or practice to the credit union/bank, and demonstration of improvements in collaboration. Winners below were chosen from over 25 entries:
