Contest objectives and award criteria
The objective of the program is to foster the development of innovative practices in the Passageways Portal platform by Recognizing best practices through a national award. Applicants will be judged on their descriptions of practices currently employed in their Passageways Portal based on the following criteria:
- Originality/Innovative nature of the feature or practice
- Significance of the feature or practice to the credit union/bank
- Demonstration of improvements in collaboration
- Significance of the feature or practice to ROI
- Quality of the implementation
Eligibility
Applicants must be Passageways’ Portal Customers.
More than one successful practice may be submitted for consideration; however, a separate application must be completed for each entry. The successful practice must have been implemented in a production portal within the last 24 months. Consulting service projects can be submitted. Previously submitted projects can be resubmitted if the
entry did not place in the winner or finalist category.
Passageways reserves the right to switch the category of an entry.
Instructions for preparing an entry
Each entry should be in the form of a PowerPoint presentation,
and should include at least one slide/paragraph on each of
the following:
Introduction: Summary of the feature or practice including the
length of time (e.g. 3 days, 3 months, 1 year) it took to develop and implement.
Rationale and Objectives: Include a description of the events
that prompted the development of the feature or functionality and how the goals were determined.
Description of the Feature/Functionality: Illustration of the decision path, feature/functionality implementation (e.g. steps and timeline), and obstacles addressed and overcome. Discussion/Conclusion: Discussion of the current functionality and its measurable outcomes (e.g. improved productivity, cost savings, increased collaboration, increased end-user participation) and significance of the feature/functionality to the financial institution. Include any screen shots, pictures, graphs, figures and data tables that are relevant. Screen shots, tables, graphs, and figures must be clearly labeled.
Format: Each PowerPoint presentation will be presented by a member of the submitting organization during the Best Practice Awards Presentations* at the conference. Someone from your organization must be present to present and facilitate any questions the participants may have during the breakout sessions. The presentation should not exceed more than 20 minutes worth of content.
